What expenses can performers claim?
As a musician I have many expenses when performing including travel and make up. Please could you clarify what expenses musicians and performers can include on tax returns as business claimable expenses?
By Catherine Heinen, FCCAAs a self-employed individual it is always important to ensure that you’re claiming all allowable expenses so that you reduce your tax bill. Generally, expenses that are wholly and exclusively for the purpose of a business’ trade are allowable.
