Payroll Associate

Salary: £23,500 - £25,500 FTE DOE

Job type: Permanent Full Time, 35hrs/week Monday to Friday.
Location: Bankside 300, Broadland Business Park, Norwich. We prefer to work together at our beautiful ergonomically designed offices. We offer a 3/5 hybrid working trial.
As a result of growth in demand for our services we are seeking an addition to our Payroll Services by TaxAssist Team. We have an opportunity for a Payroll Associate to join our friendly team based in Norwich on the Broadland Business Park.

The Role
- To manage and accurately process a number of payrolls, including onboarding and processing using Brightpay payroll software. This will include, but is not limited to
- processing starters and leavers
- calculating statutory payments such as SMP, SPP, SSP, etc
- CIS payments and deduction
- processing pension contributions to a variety of workplace schemes incl. re-enrolment
- employment allowance & Director-only payroll management
- HMRC submissions for FPS & EPS including recoverable amounts (SMP & CIS)
- manage client on-line portal access
- To understand the Letter of Engagement for Payroll Services to ensure you are working within the agreed range of work and to deliver in accordance with the Company’s service standards to your assigned franchisee. - To understand and adhere to Money Laundering, GDPR and Compliance policies and standards.
- To manage all e-mail correspondence from your assigned franchisee and their team.
- To manage admin tasks that help maintain good house-keeping of your Franchisees and their clients, for example keeping billing charges updated.
- To remain an expert in your field by attending payroll update training and keeping up to date on changes in payroll legislation and changes that affect payrolls.
- To support the team by providing cover for your colleagues during holiday and other leave.
- To deliver any other payroll related tasks for which you are qualified and skilled to support the team goals.
About You
You will have:-
- proven experience in payroll administration, with a minimum of 2 years experience.
- experience and proficiency in payroll management software – we use Brightpay
- the ability to maintain a strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy
- confidence to build a rapport with our franchisees and their clients using excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
- a work ethic to organise yourself and your workload well, to work independently and collaboratively.
- recent experience in payroll services as part of an outsourced team recent experience on payroll bureau/chartered accountancy practice preferred. We will prioritise candidates with this experience.
We plan to conduct virtual first interviews in the week commencing 22nd August and to meet shortlisted candidates on site in the week commencing 29th August.
