HMRC to host small business event
The workshop will give out advice to firms keen to know how to expand their research and development.
Free workshops are being organised by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) with the Department for Business Innovation and Skills, giving small firms access to professional advisors.
Along with the potential for networking, small business owners will also be given help on how to use government procurement opportunities for research and development.
Bob Gaiger, of HMRC, said that businesses have to do everything they can to stay ahead of the competition in "today's highly challenging trading conditions".
"The government is running a series of free practical workshops for small and medium sized businesses with the appetite and potential to grow. Why not come along to the Southampton event and find out how we can help?" he added.
The free workshop will take place in Southampton on February 20th.
