Questions and Answers
When do I need to file my accounts by?
My company was incorporated on 24th July 2020, when do I need to file my accounts at Companies House?
If your company was incorporated in July 2020, your accounting reference date (ARD) is automatically set as 31st July 2021. You can choose to change it if you want to.
If your accounting reference date is 31st July 2021, your accounts filing date with Companies House is nine months from the end of that date so annually your accounts will need to be filed by 30th April.
However, this is different in your first year and the filing deadline is 21 months from the date of incorporation, so in this example the filing deadline would be 24th April 2022.
